NCHSAA Scholarships List of student athlete scholarships through the NC High School Association of Athletes Foundation. Varying values from $500-$2,000. Applications Open September 1st
NTHS has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to date! NTHS is dedicated to providing scholarships to career and technical education students who choose a skilled trade as their career. The program is open to historically underserved and underrepresented students ages 16 to 24 who are permanent residents of Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and the District of Columbia.

The Foundation plans to award one scholarship each year to one student graduating from each high school operated by the Carteret County Public School System. The purpose of the Program is to recruit, prepare, and support graduating high school seniors to attend college or university for preparation as highly effective teachers in the Carteret County Public School System. The award: $3000 paid directly to the recipient’s college or university. For 2024 there may be as many as six scholarships awarded.

The Coastal Environmental Partnership Environmental Scholarship Program is designed to award a $1,000 scholarship to one high school senior in each of our three partnership counties. These counties are Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico.
Scholarship applicants must be in pursuit of a degree in an environmental field. This round of scholarships is for graduates in the class of 2024 entering college in the 2024-2025 school year.

- Be a graduating high school senior in Carteret, Craven, or Pamlico.
- Be pursuing a degree related to the environment, engineering, public education, waste management, or health promotions field.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student for Fall 2024. Documentation of acceptance into a higher education institution is required at the time of scholarship issuance.
- Submit application by 11:59 PM, March 29, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.
- Provide a transcript of high school grades covering a minimum of six semesters.
- Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Provide one signed letter of recommendation from a mentor, teacher, civic leader or church leader who knows the applicant personally. Endorsements from family members will not be accepted.

Requirements: The applicant must: a. Be any minority senior attending high school in Onslow (or a surrounding) County, North Carolina to be eligible for a $1000 merit or $500 general college scholarship. b. Be accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning. c. Complete and submit (via mail or email) this application, a most recent high school transcript (copy accepted), an essay (see item #12), and two letters of recommendation, one from a school official and one from a community leader. Due April 5
The goal of this scholarship is to provide a $1,000 yearly scholarship to a worthy applicant from a Carteret County High School Senior that has been accepted and will be going to UNC-Chapel Hill. Awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities including community involvement. Due April 9 to Mrs. Smith in Counseling. Paper copies are also available in counseling if needed.
This application must be completed and submitted to Mrs. Melissa Smith in WCHS Student Services by April 12, 2024. The recipient of this scholarship may attend any college, university, trade or technical school of his/her choice. The scholarship money (one time award, amount to be determined) will be sent directly to the school. Please see application for requirements.
IMPACT1, The charitable arm of TransImpact, LLC, is excited to announce its decision to award eight scholarships to local high school seniors. Selection will be made by the IMPACT1 Scholarship Committee, based on each applicant’s ability to demonstrate

This fund supports West Carteret High School by providing scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to enroll at an institution of higher learning at a 4-year university. The scholarship is based on academic achievement, community involvement/activities, involvement in organized sports activities, and other criteria as may be determined by the school's scholarship committee including good moral character. This year the scholarship will be awarded to 2 WCHS Seniors in the amount of $1,390.00. Required Items needed to submit to Mrs. Smith in Counseling by April 19, 2024.
This scholarship, in the amount of $500.00, will be awarded to a deserving graduating senior from one of the Carteret County Public High Schools.

The Newport Women of the Moose is offering 2, $500 scholarships to the class of 2024. This is for any graduating senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in the medical, pharmaceutical, veterinarian, or dental field. Applicants should submit a letter of vocational intent, resume, school transcript, college/university acceptance letter and three letters of recommendation for consideration. MOAA is offering a $1,000 scholarship to dependents of active duty and retired military personnel permanently residing in Carteret, Craven, Jones, Beaufort, and Pamlico Counties. Due 4/30/2024
The Nancy Duffy Russell Scholarship is for a student residing in Carteret County, North Carolina who is seeking a degree in Education. The scholarship will be awarded up to $16,000.00 in four (4) equal payments as long as the student maintains a 3.0 average as required per year. Due May 1st
open to anyone in need who wishes to go to college, including but not limited to high school seniors.
